Whether you're an aspiring artist or just looking to unwind with some creative fun, this is the perfect event for you. We offer a relaxed and friendly environment to learn the basics of watercolour painting. No prior experience is necessary, so don't worry if you're a complete beginner. Our talented instructor will guide you step by step, helping you explore different techniques and unleash your creativity.

What Will I Learn?
Each month we'll look at something new, from still life and landscapes to animals and greetings cards! You'll build up your watercolour knowledge in no time!

I've never done an art class before, is it for me?
Of course! Everyone is invited to ArtistAnd workshops. They’re always beginner-friendly and like any athlete, we go through some warm-ups so you can get to grips with things before we commit to the masterpiece.

Has it been a while since you've picked up a pencil? Do you want to learn to draw?

Then you need to join our online class with a welcoming community and a brilliant teacher.

Don't worry, these classes are beginner friendly with the aim to make you remember how fun and therapeutic drawing can be.

What To Expect?
Each week we'll be experimenting with different techniques, and different things to draw. Some weeks will feel hard, some will feel easy but you’ll be amazed at what you can do.

From still life to life drawing, we like to play around, try different things and push your limits occasionally.

Expect people to be chatting, and supporting each other because our community is at the heart of the class and we welcome anyone who wants to join! Or if you want to sit and draw quietly, you can switch your camera off and we’ll respect your mindful time as you listen to the chitter chatter of our students.

What If I’m Shit At Drawing?
Then you should have signed up 10 minutes ago! Trust me, everyone can draw, you’ve just never been shown how. These classes are beginner friendly and super inclusive so you’ll feel right at home (even if you’re s******g a brick slightly about being the ‘newbie’).

• 2B, 2H, 8B pencil

• 120-150 gsm (something smooth)

Ever wanted to get into watercolour? Want to start feeling more creative?
Come to our 90 minute online watercolour class and see how you can paint something you’re proud of with ArtistAnd.

What To Expect?
Over 90 minutes, we’ll guide you through 1 or 2 paintings using watercolours. Like all talented athletes, we’ll start with a warm-up, and then you'll apply different techniques to your work. Each month we look at something new that’ll be good enough to put in the fridge! Even beginners can make great art when you have a teacher who can show you how.

What's Included?

• Reference pictures / video afterwards

What You’ll Need:
* Watercolour paints
* Brushes
* A4 or A5 Watercolour paper (not normal paper)
* A cup with water
* A palette or mixing tray (usually this is the lid of your paints)
* Some additional supplies that may be useful include masking tape, a pencil, and an eraser.

FAQ’S?
1.How do I choose the right brush for my painting?
The right brush depends on the type of painting you are creating. For larger washes, use a larger square brush, and for fine details, use a smaller brush. Round brushes are a good all-purpose choice for watercolour painting. See pictures for examples.

2. Can I use watercolours on any type of paper?
It's best to use watercolour paper, which is specially designed to absorb and hold watercolour paint. Regular paper may not hold up well to the wetness, cause abrasive rubbing and warp the paper.

3. Will you provide materials?
Materials won’t be provided for this class. Please provide your own materials. Just remember, the cheaper the palette, the lesser quality it maybe. Just like buying wine at a restaurant, always go for at least the second cheapest one.

4. What colours will I need before the lesson?
We can work with any colour palettes, there's always a way! This class aims to be accessible as much as possible so if you really are worried, send me a picture before of what you've got.
