#### Climb up the rocky wadi to reach a dramatic summit climb and incredible 360 degree view of the mountains and the Indian Ocean.

#### Wadi Seham hike is a gutbuster of a hill 1.5 hours through some scrambling but shaded rocks on a newly improved trail. Its still entirely uphill for the first 1.5 hours so be prepared to be breathing and working hard. We recommend that you complete one hike in the last few weeks prior to this one to ensure you are adjusted to the heat. We start early, as usual, to avoid the heat. After reaching the top, its all downhill but is still very exposed to the elements.

#### Hiking boots are recommended but not required as the trail has been dramatically improved to make it easier footing.

#### We provide backpacks with the required water and a snack as part of your hiking fees.

#### Trek Difficulty: Intermediate

• Trails are well defined
• First hour is uphill through a steep and rocky wadi, and
• downhill is some scree and steep incline
• Hiking boots are mandatory!

Caution: first time hikers will quickly exit their comfort zones after the first bit of climbing!

#### What's Included

What is included in the trek fees?
• The security and safety of our expert trained guides first and foremost. You will never be left behind or alone on the trail, you will feel supported and encouraged for the entire trek.
• A hearty snack will be handed out at the start of the hike along with electrolytes to take with you and eat during the hike. There will also be snack bars and alternatives for you to choose from.
• At the end of the hike, you will be offered an ice cold juice box and an energy snack.

#### What to Bring

What do I need to bring?
• Backpack with at least 3 liters of water
• Hiking boots are a must! You will be asked to send a photo verification of your kit prior to the hike
• A backpack with waist and chest straps
• Sun protection Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
• Personal kit for health emergency: inhaler, extra insulin, sweet sugary snack (diabetics) EPI -Pen (for allergies)
The trek starting point is 1 hour 15 min driving from Dubai and reachable with any car

#### Join us in the morning for a hike with the families! Of course, everyone is welcome with or without kids but the trail is particularly enjoyable for kids as there is a lot to discover!

#### Wadi Abadalah trail is a hike through a spring valley on the side of the beautiful Masafi mountains in Fujairah. Descend down the stairs into the Wadi where you will find water running through the banana and palm trees, explore a dry wadi bed, and climb the ridge behind it!

#### Trek Level - Beginners

What’s the trail like:
The trail is mostly not well defined. Walking through a riverbed with big rocks under your feet, and climbing up a few rocks are part of the fun, but also a good reason to wear hiking shoes.
What is the scenery like?
The banana trees and the pools are nice to walk around and interesting for kids to explore. The relatively easy trail makes this hike a beautiful one to start your hiking experience.
Three sections:
The wadi (maybe with water) and banana trees shading the trail.
The dry riverbed, with rocks underfoot, a bit hard to walk on
The ancient village, the mountain ridge and the rocky grasses
Out and Back Trek:
Rocky wadi, with a small section to climb up and slight exposure
You will walk one way until you reach a final point in the trail, and turn around and go back the same way you came.

• 2 liters of water

* Experienced and certified mountain guide (English speaking)

* Guides will not ever touch you, pull or push you up, but will coach you to do it yourself.

* Guides are fully qualified to assist in any emergency with their advanced first aid skills, and their full first aid kit.

#### Hatta has designed completely new trails, complete with shaded shelters However, they are somewhat confusing for the average hiker, and the hill to reach the Hatta sign is a challenge but doable for people with good fitness.

#### A 3 hour hike with an easy pace, lots of coaching from the guides about how to become an independent hiker, learn how to climb up scree slopes, pace yourself up to the top to the iconic Hatta Sign and enjoy the view! Enjoy while you listen to birds and discover the mountains and foothills in the Hajjar mountains.

#### Hatta is 1.5 hours from Dubai, Suitable for good fitness levels and active children 8 years and older.

#### Stay after the hike and enjoy kayaking, activities in the Wadi Hub, or lunch!

#### Trail Description

The trail will be as long or as short as the group can manage. We will walk on a bit of road, a little on trails, but as we make our way up the Hatta Sign, expect a challenge of around 30 minutes. The rest of the trail has smaller hills, and shaded rest areas the whole way. Along the way, our guides will teach you about the flora, fauna and mountains, and give you lots of guidance in learning to become an independent hiker.
We will pass through some local farms on the flat section before we loop around the smaller hills then visit the ancient village and the mountain ridge.
This hike is a favorite for new hikers and offers a great bonding opportunity for families. It is a chance to experience hiking and the mountains without worrying about footing or their fitness.
Enjoy the walk along the ridge of two foothills and the unobstructed view of the Hatta Mountain Range while playing. The Hatta mountains are a unique part of the UAE, very different from other mountains.
