Welcome to The Writers Room, a group based in Los Angeles for screenwriters who want to learn, grow, and collaborate. Our group provides a supportive and collaborative environment for members to share their work, get feedback, and develop skills.
Whether you’re just starting out or have been writing for years, The Writers Room is the perfect place to hone your craft. We provide a safe place for members to explore their creativity and build meaningful connections with other like-minded writers.

The deadline to submit your script for the Saturday table read is Thursday at noon!
Everyone is welcome to join, whether you have material to read or just want to read a part. Actors looking to participate as readers are encouraged to join.
How to attend?
⦁ This event is free and everyone is welcome
⦁ Space is limited to 20 participants, so be sure to hit the RSVP button
⦁ If you're an actor interested in attending this event, please comment “Actor” in the comments sectionHow to Submit Your Script?
⦁ Everyone can submit any short screenplay or scene to the table reads(limit to 12 pages)
⦁ Please email your submissions to [email protected]
⦁ Scripts will be emailed to participants at the start of the event
⦁ To have your script read, comment “Pages - # of pages” in the comment section of that week's event on MeetUp. Scripts will be read by submission orderReading and Coverage
⦁ Parts will be handed out by the writer to attendees
⦁ The script will be read with a short verbal critique-and-question period after

SCHEDULE:
3:00PM - Socialize and get settled.
3:30PM - Start time: 1 hour of writing
4:30PM - Timer ends: wrap up, coordinate any notes if wanted, say good evening.OPTIONAL WRITING AND SOCIALIZING
The Writers Room stays open till 11:00 PM and guest writers are welcome to stay and continue writing or connect and commiserate in the bar. Writing is very solitary!IT'S OK TO BE LATE : The doors will be open till closing at 11:00PM.

Laptop and charging equipment!
Reliable wi-fi available and plenty of outlets, however if you will be using your laptop, please make sure is fully charged.Seating

- Write your first "page of the day" with us!

- Parking: There is lots of open street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods, but please watch for street signs and be respectful to the neighbors
