No Sleet Till Buxton! Xmas Pub Walk (10 Miles, Moderately Festive)
Details
Merry Buxmas everyone! We're heading over Pennines to the merry old market town of Buxton. And true to form there is indeed a Christmas market happening in the Pavilion Gardens that day, so turn up at 10am if you'd like a nosey at the trinkets and food stalls before the walk.
The walk itself will begin at 11am from outside the Pavilion Tea Rooms.
We'll start with a winter wander up to two of Buxton's nearest peaks, Corbar Hill and Grin Low, after which we'll stop off at a number of pubs as we head back towards the centre of town.
One thing's for sure, regardless of the weather we're guaranteed to see a snowy landscape on this outing! (You won't be impressed.)
For those planning on having a few festive drinks, take a look at the public transport options in advance. The train to Stockport is fairly regular and Macclesfield is a 20 minute taxi ride. Or better still find yourself a designated driver!
