Lesbians of a Certain Age

Any single or coupled lesbian women, with Colorado residency, age 40 and over who are interested in cultivating meaningful friendships through group activities. This group is exclusively for lesbian women. There will be a wide variety of activities ranging from: Entertainment (movies, theater, concerts, sporting events, dancing), Outdoors (Hiking, Biking, bird watching, camping, kayaking, rafting, putt putt golf, disc golf). Dining out ( restaurants, pubs, brewery, festivals, potlucks). Gaming (Board games, card games, video games, role playing games (DND or others). It is my wish that members will take turns hosting and planning activities. New members will be asked about their hobbies and interests. Events will be planned based upon the information provided by the members of the group who provided details about their interests. While there will be activities involving some alcohol consumption this is NOT a primary purpose of the group and heavy alcohol consumption will be discouraged. Please allow email notifications from the group so that you remain informed about events and activities. ALL MEMBERS MUST PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN A PERSONAL PROFILE PHOTO AS A CONDITION OF MEMBERSHIP. If you do not have a personal profile photo when ask to join your request will be denied. I request that the membership screening questions be answered with meaningful content and sincerity. Contact the organizer directly with questions or concerns about the group or events. Discussion posts to the LOACA Meetup page is limited to group event and activities content. Members are discouraged from contact members in the group that they have not yet met. Catfishing, spamming or harassing members of the group will result in removal from the group. Please notify the organizer with any questions or concerns about such activities.
If you repeatedly RSVP for events with reservations and then late cancel (24 hours or less) or No SHOW your ability to attend events will be restricted and you may lose your access to the group.
It is most beneficial for you to download the Meetup app and have your notifications turned on for the group either for email or push (to your mobile device) or both so that you remain up to date on events.
As of 11/15/22 LOACA has instituted dues to help pay for the costs associated with running the group. New members will enjoy a 60 day trial membership before dues are required. You can add a payment method to your Meetup profile or make a once per year annual dues payment of $30.00 using Venmo. This represents a 50 % discount off of the monthly dues. Contact the organizer for the Venmo link. Meetup will charge your credit card $5.00 per month and retain 18 % as a service fee. Members who host at least four events per year can have their dues waived.
