What we’re about
Hang out with fellow Smart, Sexy, Empathetic, Humorous, Talktative, Emotionally Well-Versed, and Grounded guys who love to read. We are all gay, bi, and some straight men too. We enjoy reading non-fiction books and discussing them together once-a-month at various public "bookish" Twin Cities locations.
In the news:
- Men Who Read Book Club talks books with KFAI Radio

- Local Book Club Celebrates 3 Years
Our book club reads a new book every 4 weeks and meets in-person on the 2nd Saturday of each month.
You are an ideal book club member if you enjoy:
- reading a variety of non-fiction topics
- Hanging out with other men to dialogue and have intellectual discussions,
- enjoy a guided monthly book discussion
The group was started by Paul C. with a goal to connect in a low-key environment with more men who all share a love of books. Striving to make a group that's welcoming and accepting of men who are at a variety of stages in their life.

We care about our group members and want to ensure that we have space for men who want to attend and be involved in our meetups. With that in mind— please note that you’ll be removed from the group if:
- you haven’t RSVP’d for one of our discussions after 6 months.
- you RSVP but don’t show up 2x in a row without letting us know you won’t be able to make it.
The group pulls books that cover the non-fiction spectrum: Biography/Memoir, Economics/Money, Food/Diet/Health, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Science, Sociology, Self-Help, True-Crime, LGBTQ.
Notice of Filming and Photography
When you enter an Men Who Read event or program, you enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur.
While we are a fun community, and want everyone to be included in our book club social group, we realize there's many reasons people may not wish to be photographed or recorded -- from simply having a bad-hair day all the way to personal privacy concerns. Whatever the reason may be, we encourage you to step out of photos and videos whenever you want/need to. We totally understand!
