Lake Mendocino Full Moon Paddle

Details

Let's enjoy being social together paddling on the water with a bright, full moon. Please wear warm, non-cotton clothes.

Paddling is a wonderful form of exercise, adventure and meditation. If you don't have a boat, please read * below. This event is open to group members. Non group members can easily join for free. A waitlist will be made if rsvp limit is reached.

Launch boats at the south boat ramp (drive up near water). Being a group event, all paddlers are requested to stay together for safety. With moonlight, we can paddle north along shoreline. There should be calm conditions while we paddle & take notice of fresh air & beautiful full moon scenery (check out photos from past events). It's possible to see wildlife enjoying a drink by the shore. We'll paddle for a couple hours, or until we're sufficiently exercised. Stormy weather cancels event.

*A loaner boat may be available. There is a $10 transport fee for boat & gear loans. Contact David directly before RSVPing for more information. After boat loan is confirmed, rsvp can then be made.

Directions: south boat ramp. Park near ramp.

Itinerary: Meet at the south ramp parking area at 5:20 pm and unload/ prepare boats at water. Please arrive earlier if needing time to set up an inflatable boat.

What to Bring: Kayak, SUP or Canoe, Paddle, PFD (must be worn while we are on the water), water-type shoes, Water, warm clothes (no cotton), headlamp or flashlight, Snack, Dry change of clothes in your car for after the paddle (just in case of getting too wet).

Parking / Launch Fees/ none
