Dance, Exercise & Fun - Ukiah Contra Dance

2nd Saturday's In Ukiah! is a Contra Dance at the Methodist Church.
Usually there's a beginners lesson, and then the "calls" start to happen
this is a great way to get the heart beat up, be social, and think!

The requirement. Have fun. You have to be able to turn left and turn right when told. You have to be able to go forward and backward when told. Preferably you do this with the beat of live musicians, and a caller.

Cost is $15. It's not an outdoor activity but it's a lot of fun. Sometimes there's as many as 75 people in one room. It's very social and great exercise!

This coming Saturday , June 8th, Alan Winston will be calling the dance while Corwin & Grace fire it up with their lively music-making for our pleasure and delight.
There will be a free lesson at 6:30 pm. The dance is scheduled from 7:00 - 10:00 pm at the Ukiah United Methodist Church Social Hall, 205 N Bush St.
Bring your friends. Bring your neighbors. No partner needed since the custom is to change partners often throughout the evening. All ages welcome.
The next Ukiah Contra Dance will not be until September!
