What we’re about
If you live in the Columbus, Ohio, area and desire face-to-face fellowship, then please go to our other local fellowship Meetup website (https://meetup.com/mercifulservantsofgod) and request to join.
The purpose of this group is to study the Bible and discover how to live the way Yeshua (Jesus) and His followers lived in the 1st century. In the first century, Christians believed in the law, the prophets, and the resurrection of the dead (Acts 24:14-15).
The Merciful Servants of God teach that the Torah of Moses is not destroyed or "done away with" as traditional Christianity teaches (Matthew 5:17; Matthew 4:4). Please understand that Satan has deceived the whole world about religion (Revelation 12:9).
Elijah's message in these end times involves helping people remember the Torah of Moses (Malachi 4:4-6; Luke 16:29-31).
Additionally, we do not teach the following false doctrines:
- Paul is a false apostle, and his writings are not scripture.
- There are more than 66 books of the Bible.
- We should not refer to the Jewish calendar for holy day observances.
- Speaking gibberish that you do not understand is how you speak different languages.
- You must say Yahshua, Yeshua, and the Hebrew names of God to be saved.
- The five-fold ministry fallacy: an effective ministry must have an apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher.
- The people of Israel are all white or all black.
- Women can be pastors, ministers, and elders of congregations—the top leaders of a congregation.
- God consists of three persons (God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit).
- Yeshua, or Jesus, is God the Father.
- A believer does not need a teacher to help them understand the Bible.
- Believers will be raptured into heaven before the Great Tribulation.
- You have an immortal soul and are still alive when you die.
- An effective ministry must have many followers and be popular worldwide; the more people there are, the more credible the ministry is.
We are not the church group for you if you want us to preach the above false doctrines that the Bible does not support.
Traditional Christianity is against the following:
- Keeping the Sabbath on Saturday
- Keeping the Holy Days listed in Leviticus 23 and other places in the Bible.
- Avoiding unclean meats as listed in Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.
- Circumcision
- Sacrifices and offerings (temporarily suspended because there is no temple but will be re-established in these end times leading up to the return of Messiah: Matthew 24:15; Daniel 12:11-13; Revelation 11:1-2; Malachi 1:11; 3:1-4; Isaiah 56:6-7; Isaiah 66:19-21; Zechariah 14:16-21; Ezekiel 40 to 48)
All of the above is part of the Torah of Moses, which is the Torah of God because God gave Moses the Torah. Yeshua kept all of His Father's commandments (John 15:10) when He was on earth, including getting circumcised (Luke 2:21) and giving sacrifices and offerings (keeping the Holy Days in the 1st century involved giving sacrifices and offerings because the temple existed).
However, He did not give a sin, trespass, or guilt offering because He never sinned. Believers of the TRUE Yeshua or Jesus of the Bible understand they must follow His example (1 John 2:3-6). For those who don't understand that the sacrifices are not done away with, please read the following study article: Sacrifices & Offerings
I also produced a video titled Are Sacrifices Nailed to the Cross?
- The Merciful Servants of God produces live-stream Bible studies with chat for believers outside Columbus and the state of Ohio.
