Klondyke Day Trip

Join Kevin for a day trip to Klondyke for some cherry picking , walking around the farm and picnicking.
Meet at 7 am Macdonalds N1 City where we will arrange share lifts to Ceres. Contribution towards petrol. Lovely picnic area in the shade so bring something to eat for lunch.
Du toits kloof tunnel fee R50.50 per car. Entrance fee to Klondyke R40.
R40 guest fees apply to non Meridian Hiking Club members.
Bring closed shoes for walking as there are are thorns .
We will probably stop off at Monks for gin tasting and Calabash for dinner.

### PICK-YOUR-OWN CHERRIES

You pay an entrance fee per person and receive a container – indicating what a 1kg more or less looks like, which you are welcome to fill to the brim with delicious ruby-tinged or sunkissed yellow cherries.
Between picking, take time out to explore the picturesque orchards and, when you’re done, have your container weighed at the farmstall.
We are now cashless.
You will be welcome to come have a picnic – there’s no better way to spend a summer’s day than enjoying the “fruits of your labour” under the cool shade of a pine tree. Please no large groups with busses or any fires this year.
It sometimes gets pretty windy on the farm, so remember to bring a warm jersey or windbreaker.
