Newlands Forest Exploration

Come and explore Newlands Forest as we ramble around. We will head for the ruins of Paradise, and then head towards the upper paths.

There are various hills to ascend, but the pace will be gentle. I hike to enjoy nature, so there will be many pauses to admire the scenery and catch our breath. We will also have a long midpoint break to enjoy our snacks at one of the many beautiful streams.

You do need a basic level of fitness due to the undulating terrain. Suitable for fit beginners.

Bring water, snacks, hat, light jacket, R40 guest fee if not a paid-up Meridian Hiking Club member.

Drizzle/ rain cancels the event.
