Details
Discriminating awareness is a way of seeing things as they are that honors our consciousness awareness. The popular ideal is an obscuring mental factor if the value placed in that domain. According to Schellers values we must above all else honor the wholesome. Placing our value in the domain of the popular is a degenerating mental factor, that leads to an inversion of values. We must see things as they are through dropping the natural attitude. This is away of vision or seeing, it is comprehension through the astetic sense. This was understood by Schopenhauer, that we must embody completeness through the development of astetics.
