Hassocks to Lewes (11.5 miles/Moderate)

A walk taking in a stretch of the South Downs ridge with some great views. One fairly steep climb near the start. After descending from the ridge, last section of walk follows river valley into Lewes. Please bring a packed lunch. Pub stop at end.

Terrain: Hills

Travel: Take 9:46 from London Victoria (9:53 Clapham Junction, 10:04 East Croydon), arr. Hassocks 10:43. Buy return to Lewes.

Grading: Moderate.
