Join us for another oddball loop hike in the Wissahickon Watershed and more, this time starting at Stony Creek Sports Complex in Lansdale PA.
This time, we'll loop utilizing trails, parks, back streets, and fields.
We will first weave around the park and then the perimeter of the development around it, and then follow N Wales Road to the south. We should be able to get off of the road a little bit into grassy swaths on either side.
We'll take Cory Lane to a path leading to Rt 73, turn to the east, and then walk through a cemetery.
Some side roads will lead us around some buildings and then around Wentz Run Park, and then we head north and pass through lands of Montgomery County Community College.
A short road walk from there leads us to Crossways Preserve.
We'll walk trails here, and then continue east along Township Line Road, which as a connecting trail directly to the Wissahickon Green Ribbon.
We'll head north on that, and then take side trails into Gwynedd Preserve. We'll weave around on more of the longer trails we hadn't done previously, and then take N Wales Road from the Green Ribbon back to the start.
