Adamstown to Reading Hike

Join us for this splendid point to point hike featuring all sorts of different stuff in the Furnace Hills and Reading PA area!
Our diverse route will take us on trails, back roads, old woods roads, and more.
After meeting at the Brentwood lot on the south side of Reading, we will shuttle with as few cars as possible to our start point in Adamstown where we last left off on the Horse-Shoe Trail.
We will begin our hike by tracing the route of the Horse-Shoe Trail out of Adamstown and back into the furnace hills. It shifts between being footpath and mowed field edges for a bit.
We'll reach a bit of a road walk with a couple of food stop possibilities, and then continue through a county park property. Another road walk from there will lead us on to Nolde Forest, where we'll take on that trail system heading north.
Once out of Nolde, a pleasant back road section will lead us through a cemetery, and then brief neighborhood to the Angelica Creek Greenway, which will lead us to Schuylkill River Trail and the end to close the 15 miles.
