PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE RSVPING AND ATTENDING
Hi everyone, this will be a nice leisure paced walk through Arnold Arboretum in which we will also stop for Coffee/Tea on South Street, and we will circle back to the starting point.
We will meet at the Hunnewell Vistor Center. Please follow the GPS provided above. I have attached screenshots of what the location looks like for reference.
In order to get here, you either have street parking, or you can take the MBTA to Forest Hills on the Orange Line, and the walk is roughly 17 minutes from the station to Hunnewell Vistor Center. Some days, the orange line will be running shuttle services to Forest Hills should you choose to take the MBTA in. This is hard to predict. Because of this, please check Bus and Train schedules and give yourself plenty of time on your commute should you choose to take the MBTA in. The event starts at 12:15, but I will wait 15 minutes after that. No exceptions. You are, of course, free to catch up with us afterward the 15-minute window should you choose. Although I do my best to accommodate and be understanding of things that are beyond our control, I will not stop the group just to wait up for others who are late past the 15 minute window I have already provided.
The trail itself is not associated with Alltrails. It is a custom trail I follow using Google Maps. Google Maps calculates it as 1 hour and 2 minutes, with two 7 minute breaks and Coffee/Tea break at J.P Licks.
Please keep your RSVP up to date and change it, as well as communicate if things come up. And of course, for mine and everyone else's safety, please do not show up without RSVPing.
This event is weather permitted and will be postponed in the event of rain, sleet, heavy snow/blizzard, or extreme cold. I will make a final announcement around 9 am.
I look forward to seeing you all there.
