This is a moderate to difficult hike depending on your experience and physical condition. Quite HILLY. We will be walking at a good pace (about 3
miles/hr depending on hilliness, not counting any breaks).
How to get there: Continue past 8555 Silver Hill Rd., Pinckney, MI until you see a large parking lot. Drive further up the hill to the SECOND parking lot where we meet at the end on the grass near marker 1.
We will pause on the trail a few times and stop to eat a snack that you bring at the Blind Lake Campground. You should also pack a couple of full water bottles (there are pump wells on the way to refill).
The trail is shared with the mountain bikers who ride in the opposite direction to the hikers (so they will be coming at us). The trail goes through a variety of landscape, some hills, rocks, sand, along various lakes, etc but it is all scenic.
You will need a state recreation pass on your vehicle or purchase one at headquarters.
We will assemble at 10:15 .we will start at 1020
please be on time .
