  • 7.10pm: Doors close

Speaker:
🎤 Tomaz Bratanic, GenAI Researcher @Neo4j
Talk topic: "Building Knowledge Graphs with LLMs"
Description: In this talk, we will explore the process of building knowledge graphs using Large Language Models (LLMs). We will delve into the techniques and tools necessary to extract, organize, and connect information from diverse data sources. Additionally, we will share practical learnings and real-world examples to illustrate how these methods can be effectively applied to enhance data-driven decision-making and innovation.
Bio : Tomaz Bratanic has extensive experience with graphs, machine learning, and generative AI. He has written an in-depth book about using graph algorithms in practical examples. Nowadays, he focuses on generative AI and LLMs by contributing to popular frameworks like LangChain and LlamaIndex and writing blog posts about LLM-based applications.

🎤 Dr Adam Turner, Cloud Consultant @ Google Cloud
Talk topic: "Ransomware payment profiles: Exposing the risk through enhanced STIX threat intelligence"
Description: This presentation will walk you through the ingestion of STIX threat intelligence data, sourced from ransomwher.re, into Neo4j. It will demonstrate how to build out the property graph data model based on this data and further analyse the payment networks created by ransomware attacks using Neo4j. We will also consider the future use of LLMs/GenAI against the established knowledge graph.
Bio: Adam holds a PhD in Security Studies and Criminology from Macquarie University where his research investigated the payment networks of ransomware attacks using the graph data science capabilities of the Neo4j platform. He currently works at Google Cloud where he consults to large enterprise customers on their cloud computing needs. He continues his research focus as a Senior Industry Fellow at the Social Cyber Institute exploring the impacts of the social sciences on technology and security. In particular the payment behaviour of ransomware attacks and how this data can be utilised for security researchers.
