Let’s take ourselves down to Folkestone for a new years walk to blow away the Cobwobs 🕸️

Park on the East Cliff overlooking Folkestone Harbour, along Wear Bay Rd, Folkestone CT19 6BL - (landmark is the Pavilion Cafe and the Coastguard building) where street parking is free.
I don’t think the cafe is open but we can make the building our meet up point.
For those who do not feel they can walk down the steps, there is parking down by the Harbour, we can meet you there a little later, there will be a charge for parking at the harbour.
(Do let the team know if this is your preferred option)

We can walk down the steps to the Beach and for those who want a more adventurous walk, or want to walk off some calories , we can walk along the beach board walk and up the Zig Zag path to the top (Leas Cliff) and to the Memorial Arch and the Road to Remembrance lined with knitted poppies, taking in the beautiful views of the beaches and sea below.

Obviously if it pours with rain that day, we shall have to re-schedule, but hopefully it will be a dry day at least and walking will be dry underfoot, so no muddy boots !!

Depending on the weather, we can either have fish and chips the 'old fashioned way' out of the paper or go to Wetherspoons - The Samuel Peto - Situated in a converted 18th-century Baptist church.
