Montgomery State Park 8 Mile Hike Christmas Lunch after the hike in Dickson TN

Let's do a hike at Montgomery Bell State park.

Also let's plan to celebrate Christmas by going to lunch at The Manor in Dickson TN after the hike. Feel free to bring your favorite ugly Christmas sweater to wear to lunch after the hike.

HIKE DETAILS

The park is only about 35 miles west of Nashville and has some beautiful hiking. We will hike the western half of the Montgomery Bell Trail with a cut though on the Creech Hollow Trail. This is the more scenic half of the park. We will hike by the Ceech Hollow Lake and part of Lake Woodhaven. Also we will hike by the birthplace of the Cumberland Presbyterian denomination which started in 1810. There is a very quaint little church there. The total hike should be about 8 miles and would be rated moderate. Please only sign up to come if you can handle hiking at a moderate-brisk walking speed. Also you may want to use the restroom at a convenience store or McDonald's in White Bluff which is just before the entrance to the park. Please bring plenty of water and snacks for the hike! Dress for the Weather

After the hike let's all plan to eat at the Manor in Dickson TN.
