Milford Photography Group

It's been a long time since we've broken out the lights and made frames so we're going all in with 2 separate shooting stations meant to show different lighting techniques for portraits: one strobe and one constant light. Both stations will have its own model and participants can make frames of 6 expected light arrangements. This is a great opportunity to see how off camera multi-lighting can give your images and pro polish while you build your portrait portfolio.

Attendees will need a interchangeable lens camera with manual exposure. Any skill level is welcome- we'll have staff on hand to assist with settings. Flashes not needed but short telephotos best suited to the headshot (from 55mm) are useful- everybody's got one of those!

$75 per person. The group will be capped at 20 to allow for quick flow of frames.

This class is for the new interchangeable lens (DSLR) camera owner looking to take the first step to being more comfortable with some of the automatic adjustments, settings, and handling characteristics of such a camera. Topics covered include comfortably handling your camera, basic auto modes and uses, built in flash tips, using telephoto lenses, and learning to recognize the different kinds of light you'll encounter as a photographer.
