It’s a dad’s weekend away to brave the Wisconsin winter and have a lot of fun. Grab your warm gear, your beer, and your sleeping bag, because we’re going camping! We’ll camp at Kohler-Andrae State Park in electric sites. The 30amp and 120v service means you can heat your tent or camper. We will hike, ice fish, sit around the camp fire, visit the nature center and maybe even check out a brewery or two. It’s sure to be a great time!
During the campout, Milwaukee Dads Group will be hosting a supply and fund drive to for the Milwaukee Diaper Mission. It’s a fun way to do some good while we enjoy a unique event. Participation is voluntary and you may still camp without taking part in the drive. If you wish to participate, create a page at the link below. Your donors can choose to make a flat contribution or pledge for for every hour/day that you camp. If they go the pledge route, keep notes on the pledge so they can settle up after the campout. I am working with some local businesses where supplies can be dropped off if people prefer that over a monitary donation.
If you want to come, but don’t have camping gear, send me a message. I may have extra of what you need.
