Parking: Feel free to park in either the front or back lot.
Check-in Process: Upon arrival, please stop by the front desk and inform them that you are there for dodgeball.
Getting Started: Once you've made your way to the gym, our Minnesota Dodgeball facilitators will be available to greet you. They will provide you with a wristband/assign you to a team.
First-time Participants: If this is your first time attending, we kindly request that you sign a general liability waiver and receive an introduction to the rules before joining the game on the court.
Operations:
- Court Size: Teams will be formed based on the number of participants present. Every week, we plan to have a dedicated court
for our Women, Trans, and Nonbinary (WTNB) players, where we’ll run a mini-scrimmage just for them. A minimum of 6 players needed. - Ball Type: We will be using 7-inch rubber balls no sting-balls or foam balls.
- Number of Balls: For No-Sting & Foam, each court will have a total of 7 balls in play.
General Rules (No-Sting & Foam):
- At the beginning of each match, 7 balls will be lined up on the court. To avoid injury, players may only run for the ball on their right side.
- Before throwing a ball, players must clear the attack line for the throw to be considered live.
- The objective of the game is to eliminate players on the opposing team by either hitting them with a dodgeball or catching their throw.
- Successful catches bring a player back into the game.
- Deflections are considered live.
- To retrieve balls, players should run through the back line to grab balls on the sidelines. If you're the last player remaining on your team, please refrain from retrieving balls.
- For additional rules, please visit the ruleset at minnesotadodgeball.com/rules.
