XC Ski ungroomed forest service roads - Lolo National Forest

Description: The ski will be in a no motor area near Lolo pass. We will meet at Lolo Hot springs and caravan to the trailhead. The actual route will depend on snow conditions, weather, and the mood of the group. If there is no snow we will divert to Lolo pass and mess around there. The ski will be 4-8 miles, 500-1000 vertical and 3-5 hours. It will be an intermediate ski on mostly ungroomed forest roads with maybe some off trail shortcuts to add some challenging fun. XC skis with metal edges, cold weather clothes, food, flashlight, hydration, the usual XC stuff. Avalanche gear and skins are not needed.
