Overview:

Join us for a Christmas Walk from Harrietsham, up to the iconic North Downs Way, and along to the village of Lenham. This scenic winter hike offers panoramic views from the North Downs and a great way to round the year off.

Festive hats are welcome and encouraged! We will be offering a warming non alcoholic mulled wine to everyone.
Route Details:

The walk begins in Harrietsham Village, where we’ll follow the ancient Pilgrims Way up to the North Downs Way. As we ascend up the North Downs Way you’ll see the stunning views of the Kent countryside. Walking along the ridge of The North Downs we will be surrounded by peaceful woodlands and expansive vistas.
We will walk along to the top of the historic village of Lenham where we will pass the war memorial hill top cross.
The memorial was created after WW1 to honour the local men who died in the conflict. Later, additional names where added to commemorate those who dies in WW2. It is a great vantage point on the route to view the countryside.

We will stop half way for a picnic lunch – please bring food and drink with you.

Time: 10am
Cost: £5 per person
Location: Meeting at Harrietsham ( full details in the 2nd email received after booking). Accessible via train.
Terrain: Woodlands, fields and roads. Incline is 157m. This route will likely be muddy, please bring hiking shoes or boots.
Food & Drink: Please ensure you have all food you will need and enough water for this walk. We’d recommend 2L. We will stop for a lunch so please bring some food with you.
Toilets: There may be toilets along the route but please be prepared for nature breaks (ie a tree!)
Dogs: Well behaved on lead dogs are more than welcome to this event.
