Bring in the holidays toasting your fellow Ski Hawks! Casper's has set aside the loft area above the bar for us. Come and join us for libations and camaraderie. Share your skiing/snowboarding stories from years past. Wear an ugly Christmas sweater or just come dressed for the holidays. There will be a contest with a cash prize for ugliest sweater!

The SkiHawks members will begin to arrive mid afternoon and continue into the evening. Watch for our yellow bandanas, pole flags and arm/leg and helmet bands. We plan to ski into the evening as the sun goes down.
As usual, the SkiHawks will meet at the Madd Jaxx Bar & Grill.
Madd Jaxx Bar & Grill is off to the east from the main chalet. About a block down the road. Meet there. Pick up your lift ticket at the Main Chalet ticket window then come to Madd Jaxx. Pass holders can still have their passes scanned at Madd Jaxx.

All items such as bags, shoes/boots, coolers, and containers are not allowed in the chalet while you are skiing/riding at Welch Village. If lockers and/or cubby areas are full, all personal items must be kept in your vehicle.Bring your on-line or prepaid voucher to the outside ticket window at the main chalet where it will be exchanged for a lift ticket. Once you have your lift ticket you can drive to the Jaxx Bar & Grill area where we tend to hang.
Pass holders can still have their passes scanned at Jaxx.

Lift Tickets: Must be purchased ONLINE AND IN ADVANCE. We will not be selling any lift tickets in-person at the window.
Season Passes: Must be purchased online. All season pass holder are required to present their season pass card every time they wish to ski/ride at our outdoor ticket widows at the main chalet or at Madd Jaxx during operating hours and obtain/wear a lift ticket. On weekends & holidays, we usually have a ticket window reserved for only season pass holders.Carry-on food is NOT allowed in MADD JAXX Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays. No carry-on alcoholic beverages are permitted anywhere on Welch Village property as per MN Statue 340A.512. This includes all parking areas and on all WV property.
Bring your on-line or prepaid voucher to the outside ticket window at the Main Chalet where it will be exchanged for a lift ticket. Once you have your lift ticket you can drive to the Mad Jaxx Bar & Grill area where we tend to hang.

Giants Ridge 2025: A Ski Odyssey
Kick off the new year with MN SkiHawks 2025 Ski Odyssey at Giants Ridge Sunday January 5 - Tuesday January 7th.
This event is open to all. Come and join us. It's the perfect opportunity to get to know the SkiHawks.
EARLY REGISTRATION BONUS: Everyone who registers before midnight November 30th will be eligible for the Welcome Reception drawing, prizes include:

- $25 gift certificate to the Burnt Onion restaurant, located at Giants Ridge
Event Highlights:
Giants Ridge is a short 2.5 hour drive north of the Twin Cities.
Sunday Evening: Welcome Reception at Neighbors BBQ, located in the Lodge (self pay).
Monday: Ski all day followed by Wine and Cheese/Beer and Meat Stick Apres in the hotel lobby (BYO). Dinner next door at the Burnt Onion (self pay)
Ski in - Ski out Lodging at "The Lodge at Giants Ridge."
Monday and Tuesday, ski on corduroy past noon, the hills are uncrowded on weekdays. Virtually no lift lines.

Lift TicketsCome at any time but the lifts open at 9:30. If you're new to the club, it's easier to find people to ski with if you get there early. Meet at The Highland's Chalet at 10:00 at the top of the hill.
Use the Highlands (upper) lot. The Highlands Chalet is the first chalet and parking area you will see on your right after entering the resort after taking your first left at the State Park entrance. Here you can park, pick-up your ticket, grab lunch or a drink and hit the slopes. The only thing you can't do is get rental equipment.

This unique mountain offers skiing over its 360-degree cone shape when conditions allow. The mountain with its 4,300 skiable acres, is the 6th largest ski area in North America.
