Hike to Beautiful Formation Close to Town near La Puebla

Have you ever driven to Espanola and looked to your right and thought, "that's a beautiful area, I'd like to hike there". Well, now you can. This is a beautiful short hike on BLM land. I used to live here and hiked to these two small formations, one is circled in photo. There is very little Elevation change, mostly flat. Our end point will be the circled formation. Climbing up it is optional. It's a very easy climb up the small one(optional) and I have slid down it on my bum several times. So bring poles, wear good hiking shoes/boots, wear a hat and sunscreen. carry plenty of water and bring lunch/snack. Meet at casino at 10am. We will leave promptly at 10:05am.
