The film follows renowned Ugandan singer and opposition leader Bobi Wine as he runs for president against Uganda's longtime leader Yoweri Museveni and takes on the Museveni regime in a fight for democracy.
After the screening, there will be a discussion featuring Moses Khisa, Assistant Professor of Political Science at North Carolina State University, and George Njung, Assistant Professor of History at Baylor University. Dr. Khisa's work focuses on authoritarianism in Uganda, including writings on Bobi Wine. Dr. Njung's work engages with the crisis of leadership and governance in West and Central Africa."
