WELCOME TO MOVIES AND MORE HOUSTON!!!
This group is for all the movie lovers out there who like to delve into an onscreen story with popcorn in one hand and a beverage in the other. I started this group because I love to meet other movie enthusiasts and talk about the latest movie or TV show. Although Sci-Fi is my favorite, we will watch all genres of movies such as Drama, Action, Foreign Films, Comedy, Independent Films, etc. If it’s good….even it’s bad…. we’ll see it!!! This is an ACTIVE, friendly, and diverse group of individuals who share a passion for the best that Hollywood has to offer. If it’s your first time in a meetup group, don’t worry, you’ll make friends fast.
YOU MUST HAVE A PROFILE PHOTO OF YOURSELF AND VALID NAME in order for you membership to be accepted. This will assist us to locate attendees at the meetups.
Explanation of “and More”:
Even though this is first and foremost a movie group, we will have opportunities to attend other types of events such as: game nights, film festivals, brunches, local food tours, coffee chats (about TV shows and movies, of course), local theater events, wine tastings, etc.
Movie Times:
While I have listed some of our movie titles and dates in advance, I will not post the exact time since theaters do not post their movie times accurately until the middle of the week. All times will be updated on the Wednesday before the event. Since we will attend the opening weekend of most movies, it is strongly suggested that you purchase your tickets as soon as we update the meetup calendar, to insure you have a seat. We will also frequent theaters where seats can be reserved in advance so that we don’t have to hunt for seating.
Locations:
Our meetups will take place a movie theaters near central Houston, but we will venture out to the suburbs for those of you who like to stay closer to home. Venue suggestions are always welcome, but please make sure your venue suggestions have the option to reserve your seat in advance.
Suggestions:
I welcome all suggestions on ways to grow our group, upcoming movies, and theater venues you like to attend, etc. And for you Foodies, please send me recommendations of some your favorite eateries in the area.
