What we’re about
We meet via ZOOM for weekly services and monthly retreats. All are welcome regardless of faith or lack thereof. We study Mindfulness, Metta (loving kindness) the Four Noble Truths, The Noble Eightfold Path, The Middle Way, Precepts, and Metta (loving kindness). Our studies are of the heart, not so much the mind, and can lead to a more peaceful, happy, and compassionate life. And there is always much laughter and loving kindness (Metta).
MEDITATION
We practice sitting, walking, and moving meditations. Experience not necessary. All meditations are explained by a teacher or ministerial student. Meditation is central to developing a practice. Sitting in the lotus position, or even cross legged, is not required. Just sit comfortably.
DHARMA TALKS
Five teachers rotate to give Dharma talks, or the teachings of the Buddha. They are not lectures. They come from the heart.
PARTICIPATION
Services and Retreats are not spectator sports or classroom lectures. During the check-in, Dharma sharing, and Q&A sessions, all are encouraged to share. The Sangha (the group) quickly becomes a trusted circle of friends.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY
We include instructor led Qi Gong, nine-joint meditation, and walking meditation to keep the blood flowing and the brain fresh.

https://us02web.zoom.us/j/50939520306:00-6:30 Sutra study. This is more fun than it sounds. A teacher will read a short Sutra (Lesson from the Buddha) and discuss it.
6:30-7:00 Check-in. (Optional) Everyone checks in with how life is going. We have several standard questions and one wildcard question picked by a member of the group. This gets very real as this is a safe space where you can really let it all hang out.
7:00-7:30 Meditation. Thirty minutes of just sitting, observing whatever arises without judgment and without effort. If you're new to meditation, we will give some instruction. If 6:00 a.m. is too early, please show up with you can. (If you show up after 7, you may have to wait a bit until someone sees you're in the waiting room.)
Everyone who has participated in this group has a story about how it has made their lives more peaceful. Showing up is the first step. Then just keep showing up. That's all you need to do. After some time, you may notice life getting just a bit easier.
All are welcome to be a part of our morning service. Experience not necessary. Those of any faith or lack thereof are welcome. All that is required is an open mind to learn how to promote wellness, happiness, love, and peace to oneself and all sentient beings.
