MDUUC Christmas Choir Rehearsals
Details
Please note that this is not a drop-in or traditional caroling event. Members of this choir are to perform on the Christmas Eve Service.
Join us in creating a warm, inclusive choir celebrating the joy and diversity of the holiday season! The MDUUC Christmas Choir is a safe space to celebrate Christmas with a UU perspective—one that honors all beliefs and the spirit of giving, peace, and joy.
Whether you’re a seasoned singer or just love to sing, this group welcomes all voices to gather with our choir to rehearse weekly and perform on our Christmas Eve Service on Tuesday, December 24.
We’ll have scheduled practices with Luis Gonzalez, a skilled conductor, passionate music educator, and accomplished baritone soloist, in the lead-up to the performance on Christmas Eve culminating in a community performance.
Our Christmas Choir brings together our congregation, Unitarian Universalists (UU), and friends of the community to sing beautiful, inspiring holiday music. Our repertoire will blend traditional carols of the season, UU hymns, and multicultural songs that reflect our values of compassion, unity, and reverence for the world’s spiritual traditions.
Who Can Join? Open to all who are committed to rehearsing weekly and performing at our Christmas Eve service.
Location: Meeting at the Sanctuary of Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church at 55 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek, CA.
(Look for the large building located in the back of our campus, across from the parking lot, with the decorative glass windows.)
Every week on Tuesday until December 22, 2024
