What we’re about
Nanaimo Day Hikes is a club which provides opportunities (thanks to our volunteer hosts) for hiking and exploring parts of our natural and urban environment found in and around Nanaimo and the surrounding area on Vancouver Island.
We are not a technical group, but we are made up of individuals who are keen about being out of doors and willing to try many types and styles of hiking. The length of our hikes will vary ranging from 1 hour to 7-8 hours in length and the pace can also vary also with the hope of appealing to a broader range of people.
There is more to hiking than just the physical activity of hiking. With Nanaimo Day Hikes we hope it is an opportunity to explore, to experience, to create while in the company of others. To have a conversation, to share an experience, to view the world from a different perspective and to appreciate. If you wish to meet some like-minded hikers, then you might want to consider us as a route to achieve that.
Let's all enjoy the great outdoors together!
