I have been working with a group helping gopher tortoises in East Lee county for about a year and have been purchasing undeveloped land to preserve for wildlife for about 5 years, but I still feel defeated and crushed by the destruction of nature happening all around me 24/7. My area doesn't even stop for the holidays and often I always hear heavy equipment bulldozing more pristine land even on major holidays and late into the night and the early mornings. It is nonstop and overwhelming.
Let's meet to see if we can combine our know how to help each other with the excessive grief some of us are struggling with on a daily basis over the omnipresent destruction of natural places and non human life.
