REGISTRATION REQUIRED WITH SECOND HARVEST

Group Member Registration

• Everyone who volunteers with Second Harvest must register and create an account on their system. This is required and you will not be allowed to volunteer if you do not have one.

• If you find that you are unable to attend, please update your RSVP as soon as possible so that the next person on the waitlist can have an opportunity to attend. Attendance will be noted and those who do not change their RSVP will be marked as "no-show."

We meet every other Tuesday at Second Harvest. Come join us!
We sort and pack food that will be available the next day to someone who can really use the help, as Second Harvest says "someone who is food insecure", not sure where their next meal might come from.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee’s mission is to feed hungry people and solve hunger issues in our community. This is not possible without the help of countless volunteers that work each year who help get food ready to go out to the community!

• Minors MUST have a parent or guardian sign the Youth Volunteer Application, https://www.secondharvestmidtn.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Youth-Volunteer-Waiver-2018-web.pdf This can be turned in the day of the volunteer project. In addition, minors may choose to create their own account and sign up for the shift using your group’s landing page in order to track volunteer hours.

Volunteer Duties/Policies and Procedures
Please review the policies and procedures prior to your shift and be sure to note these important policies:
• ALL warehouse volunteers must wear close-toed shoes. Volunteers wearing sandals or flip-flops will not be allowed to volunteer.
• Bags, purses and backpacks are not allowed in the warehouse. Lockers are available or we request that you leave these items in a locked vehicle.
• In efforts to remain as environmentally friendly as possible, we encourage volunteers to bring their own reusable water bottle.

Volunteer parking is at the front part of the lot, closest to the front doors of the building. When you arrive, please sign in at the desk and we'll get everyone set with job assignments.
