Tai Chi Beginners Class

Details

PLEASE READ ENTIRE MESSAGE:
Tai Chi is a gentle, low-impact form of exercise using slow, flowing motions while focusing on deep, slow breaths. As a form of meditation in motion, tai chi aims to concentrate and balance the body’s chi (vital energy), providing benefits to mental and physical health. The exercises will primarily consist of introductory to Qi Gong and focus on increasing knee strength to help support your ability to hike. Allan has been a student of Tai Chi for over 4 years including a student under Professor Zhang who was a student himself under one of the original Tai Chi masters, Yang Chengfu.

Time: Starts promptly at 4:30 P.M.
Place: We meet at the Trailhead just beyond the circular parking end (small pavilion with park map). From there, we will decide exactly where to begin the warmup exercises (shaded, grassy spot).

Westbound/Eastbound directions to park found below.

Suggestions: Bring comfortable clothes and shoes and also water (at least for your drive home). Port-a-John’s available on site.
