***You can join our hike or just relax at the campground, enjoying nature and peace your mind.

Peak Fall Foliage backpacking trip through the Catskills, covering Balsam Cap, Friday Mountain, and Balsam Lake Mountain.
The Catskills are known for vibrant red, orange, and yellow foliage. The views from the fire tower on Balsam Lake Mountain are especially breathtaking during this season.

Balsam Cap: elevation of 3,608 feet. It is known for its dense forests, rocky terrain, and scenic views from its summit. Hiking to Balsam Cap involves a strenuous trek.

Friday Mountain: elevation of 3,692 feet, offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape and is characterized by rugged terrain and lush forests. Hiking to Friday Mountain involves a strenuous ascent.

Balsam Lake Mountain (3,723 feet): Features a historic fire tower at the summit. Offers panoramic views of the Catskill Mountains and beyond.

Mill Brook Ridge: A beautiful ridge with scenic views along the trail. Offers a less-traveled path for those seeking solitude.

** On October 12, we will hike on Balsam Cap, and Friday Mountain from 9:30 am.
** Stay overnight at Woodland Valley Campground. Extremely clean shower room, and dishwashing station, close to beautiful trails.
** On October 13, we will hike on Balsam Lake Mountain and will be back home at 4 pm.

You can join in for a day hike.
The fee is $ 30/per. Offer a tent spot, chips, fruit, and water.

Carpooling is encouraged! If you need a ride, or if any drivers can offer one or are willing to rent and share a car, please leave a message in the comments.

Please bring: tent, sleeping pad, sleeping bag, cooker gear, Poles, SnacksWater/Sports Drink, Headlamp, rain gear, Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, and Bug repellent.
