Details

WELCOME EVERYONE
Join us for searching for kiwi and camping at Tawharanui. Red torch lights only when kiwi searching as it's the least disruptive to their behaviour. In the morning we'll explore some of the walking tracks on Tawharanui Peninsula.

SATURDAY 28TH SEPTEMBER

6:00pm Start walking to look for kiwi.
6:47pm Twilight ends. Return to campground maybe 10pm.

Note 1: Tawharanui car entry gate locks automatically at 7pm.
If arriving after 7pm you'll need to park near this gate and walk 1.6km to Tawharanui Campground.

Note 2: Additional padlocked gate for campers only.
Padlock code is in booking email.
If not camping leave your car near the padlocked gate and walk 700 metres to Tawharanui Campground.
