Foothills Program: Mick Scott: Oservations of Urban Wildlife

Winston-Salem native Mick Scott is a keen observer of urban wildlife. Its survival and health are dear to his heart and one of several topics highlighted in his book "Stardust and Scar Tissue," published last year by Press 53. He'll discuss and display some of his observations during our meeting.
Scott worked in the Winston-Salem Journal’s editorial department for 20 years, the final five of those as editorial page editor. During that time, he churned out thousands of editorials and opinion columns on tight deadline and received numerous first- and second-place awards from the N.C. Press Association.
