City of Bridges Hike

Valley City, known as the “City of Bridges,” is considered one of North Dakota’s most scenic towns. It will also serve as a safe segment of trail away from North Dakota’s November hunting season. Join us on a Valley City Historic Bridges Tour on Saturday, November 16, 2024. We will meet at the North Country Trail (NCT) Medicine Wheel trailhead at 9:00am. We will hike along the NCT past four of Valley City’s seven bridges with a turn around at the Rosebud Visitor Center. After returning to our parking spots, those interested may continue by reparking at the Hatchery for a walk along the NCT to the Hi-Line Bridge. The first hike will be roughly 2.5 miles, the second hike will be roughly 4.0 miles.

To find Medicine Wheel Park, take Exit 292 off of I94, go north and take the first right on Winter Show Road E, proceed about a block until you see the Park on your left (north).
