What we’re about
This meet up provides lessons of North East Asian languages(Korean and Japanese) FOR FREE. This is only for children between 9 - 12 years old. This program takes place in a study room at Tidewater Community College/City of Virginia Beach Joint-Use Library.
Every Thursday from 4PM to 4:50, the children will learn;
- Natural pronunciation and accent
- The writing system of each language
- Basic conversational expressions
- Easy grammar for children
A student can choose any language out of those three. They can stick to one language for a long time, or switch every month. Study materials will be provided. The students must have a guardian with them, and the guardians must stay in the library until the end of the class. It takes around 50 minutes.
The goal of this program is that the kids can be familiar with North East Asian languages and cultures. If you believe that your child needs to learn a second or third language eventually in their life, the earlier is the better.
Let's embark on this journey together and explore the languages and cultures of North East Asian countries together.
