What we’re about
1 The purpose of this group is an introduction of how to bring practical applications of many years of neuroscience research into the classroom (and boardroom)
At Neural Education, we translate what neuroscientists know about learning into practical teaching systems that deliver powerful improvements for teachers/educators so that all children can reach their full potential
2 Any person involved in education or any parent that would like to learn about brain science and how to help their children minimize stress at school for more effective learning
3 Practice proven brain strategies supported by neuroscience research and projects to assist a better understanding of how the brain works and how to understand different brain types to help our children learn more effectively and enjoy learning by tapping into their innate potential, its a no-brainer 😊
Upcoming events (4+)
See all- The Brain Based Classroom - Webinar - Saturdays at 9:30amLink visible for attendees
Please join us on Saturdays at 9:30am GMT for weekly 60 minute Webinars putting into practice the principles of "The Brain-Based Classroom"
This meetup focuses on a Brain-Centred Cognitive Approach to Learning for all
Here is a short video intro by Dr Kieran O'Mahony (originally from Cork) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lag5ZkybIBI
We are following the principles of Neuroscience research by Dr Kieran O'Mahony, based in Seattle, to discuss the practical applications of Educational Neuroscience from his new book "The Brain-Based Classroom" which takes into account child brain type sensitivities to minimize unnecessary stress for children, teachers and parents alike.
With a few simple practical routines, we are exploring how to create a safe, creative and productive learning space for children, teenagers and their parents, teachers and any setting where a safe, creative and productive environment is desirable using the practical application of the last 50 years of Neuroscience research
This can be applied in the classroom, the home and the office. This is especially applicable to the current Online Learning environment using
1 Hebb's Rule - the neurons that fire together wire together-habits
2 Millers Law - optimizing working memory - The Brain Based Classroom - Webinar - Saturdays at 9:30amLink visible for attendees
