Nevada County Bitcoin Meetup

Bitcoiners are amazing people. We come from all walks of life, with differing skills, backgrounds, and experience.

Bitcoin is changing the world. It is one key to a prosperous, more equitable, and responsible future. The biggest barrier to entry for many is how daunting Bitcoin initially appears.

The Nevada County Bitcoin Meetup is a newly formed Bitcoin-only group. We want to connect with other like-minded, optimistic people to share experience, have discussions, and teach others why Bitcoin is a form of technology everyone will need to know. During our Meetups, we will lead talks on what Bitcoin is, how to buy it, how to store it, and how to earn it. We will discuss the nuances of modern banking, why our current system is broken, and how Bitcoin provides a better alternative. We can even delve into the environmental aspects of Bitcoin mining.

Anyone with an interest in Bitcoin is welcome to come, from newbie to enthusiast. No one is an expert in everything Bitcoin-related, but we know how to get everyone, of every age and technological skill, started.

We won't be entertaining any discussions about other crypto projects, and we will be happy to explain why at any of our Bitcoin Meetups.

We plan to meet once a month, with every other month being a workshop or presentation. This is going to be an in-person meetup. We will be varying the locations this year, so keep an eye out for the newest location.
