Winter Holiday Stroll/Candlelit Procession/Treelighting downtown Nashua

Details

Nashua's Winter Holiday Stroll is back! The 29th year of this event will take place on the Saturday after Thanksgiving... November 30th. POSTED IN MULTIPLE GROUPS!!

Each year over 30,000 people gather in Historic Downtown Nashua, NH for Nashua's Winter Holiday Stroll. This beloved community tradition begins with a candle lit procession at 5:00, from City Hall, one half mile down Main Street south, to the Hunt Memorial Building, Library Hall, for the lighting of the City Christmas Tree. This is a rain or shine or very cold event. Dress warm - wear layers, gloves, mittens, warm hat, ear muffs, scarf, comfortable walking shoes/boots.

OUR PLAN: Meet at Margarita’s at 2:00 for drinks/appetizer/chatting, yes we have reservations!!!! Then we’ll walk to the front of city hall to get our candles for the candlelit procession. Goal is to get our candles is at 4:30. We will soon be strolling up Main Street to where Santa will magically light the city’s holiday tree outside the Hunt Memorial Building!

The procession starts from city hall at 5, going to the top of Main Street for the Xmas tree lighting. Explore downtown and be entertained! There are three sets of music and over 10 stages throughout downtown. There will be a map so you can explore all night! There will also be food vendors selling a variety of foods, artisan vendors selling their products, characters roaming Main Street, axe-throwing, rides, carnival games, and nonprofits interacting with the community! Suggest you bring cash if you want to buy something as it’s unknown if the vendors take credit cards. Don’t forget, Main Street and side streets close at 2:00.
