New forest Walk From Bolton's Bench so much more...

Details

Hello all,

These walks are incredible in every way—more than I ever imagined and are helping so many people in so many ways that I actually spoke to, which filled my heart with so much joy. People go away a lot happier while learning something, and the kindness is always flowing.
We are building something special here and changing people's lives for the better, and everyone is a part of that, so thank you.
The purpose is to bring like-minded people together while socialising face-to-face, helping anyone from loneliness to mental health, and having some really meaningful conversations and connections, which is lovely to see. I know this is helping others outside the group as well, which is truly amazing to be part of.

Thanks for all the kind posts afterwards. Have a look at the past walks, comments, and pictures if you are thinking about joining us.

I do have one polite request. Please let anyone who is booked on attend or cancel no later than 48 hours before the walk. Therefore, let's all work together to help as many people as possible because people are getting moved from the waiting list to going close to the day and already have plans. If anyone is not sure if they will be up for it until the day because of medical reasons, please drop me a message, and I will make some arrangements for you. I am here to help everyone.

My purpose is to spread kindness and love with a caring attitude. This is the perfect way to achieve that. One of the greatest pleasures in life is going for a walk in nature. It clears your mind, stretches your limbs, and gives you time to appreciate your surroundings and the simple things in life, which we can so easily forget to do in our day-to-day lives.

I would love to welcome you to join me in this safe environment where we talk from the heart, not the head, while enjoying nature. Please do not worry about the pace; everyone is welcome.

This circular walk in the heart of the New Forest takes in woodland enclosures near Lyndhurst. The bench actually commemorates the 18th-century New Forest Master Keeper, the Duke of Bolton. Looking west from the top, you will see the centre of Lyndhurst town, the skyline dominated by the classic spire of St. Michael’s & All Angels Church. Looking east, you will see a great view of the Open Forest heathlands stretching over White Moor, Matley Heath, and further towards the waterside village of Hythe.

The walk is around 6.2 miles, mainly tracks and maybe some mud! The plan is to stop at the halfway point for 10 minutes for a snack and a drink. It will take 3 hours.
