This is not an event, just an announcement that this group is now on Facebook. Due to the steep rise in organizer fees, it seems a good way to keep a walking group going. Please join on Facebook. You will see some events posted there starting mid-November.

For those of you who are not on Facebook: (I highly recommend joining. You don't have to put your full name into a FB profile, or even your photo. And you have access to hundreds of other groups of all types, events, and many other sites and businesses.) In case you still don't want to join Facebook, I will get back to you about possibly setting up an email list, or using a free site like Wix to set up the group. But I need some time and will get back to you on that.

**Update: Plan change**, and we will remain in Meetup at least through May 2025. I would still like to keep Facebook as a backup and may do some events there as a test. FB is run more free style, and it's easier to upload photos and comments there, and they have less glitches. I will have some very nominal charges on a few walks (not all) to cover the Meetup organizer dues, which is a constant concern. I hate asking for money. Like you, I think this should all be free, but that is not the world we live in. Also, Meetup is constantly trying to open up more revenue streams for itself. I know some of you don't like it, and I encourage you to start a Meetup group and see what is involved and the cost. In the meantime, don't worry yourselves too much about this, just come out and enjoy our wonderful group and walks.
