Let's get together and have fun while making new friendships and exploring our beautiful part of the world. We are open to ideas and your participation will maximize the fun! If you love the outdoors, being active, movies, dining out, breweries, wine tasting, game nights, photography, etc. and generally have fun meeting new faces, then you are our kind of people. We'd love to show you around and help make Nevada feel like home! Our group charges no membership dues but donations are welcome and help us pay for the site.

Tired of the dating apps? Like to actually meet other singles in person? Come join me for Schussboom's Singles Night - description and ticket information below. The event is 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm, but I thought we could meet up as a group a little early, have some food and drinks and warm up our conversation skills, maybe even find a wingman! Then at 7:30 we'll head to their Apres Lounge for the singles event. I'll have a reservation under my name: Christina and a paper Meetup sign on the table. DESCRIPTION: From September 27th to November 30th, 2024, Dragon Lights Reno returns to the enchanting setting of Wilbur D. May Arboretum and Botanical Gardens in Rancho San Rafael Park. Embracing the shift in seasons, this year’s event unveils exciting new themes sure to captivate guests of all ages.
To celebrate the year of the dragon, our centerpiece boasts a magnificent 100-foot-long dragon soaring majestically through a cherry blossom forest. Guests are invited to wander through this breathtaking display, discovering the secrets hidden within the forest’s depths.
Adding to the magic, a brand-new winter wonderland section has been introduced, reflecting the season transition. Here, visitors will see some lovely arctic creatures such as polar bears, puffins, and narwhals.
To elevate the experience, our local food vendors will tantalize taste buds with a diverse array of culinary delights and beverages available for purchase. Join Chocolatier Phyllis Robinson of Tandem Chocolates for a guided chocolate experience from 6 to 8 pm!
The class begins with a tasting of several single origin chocolates where we will discover the effect of terroir on chocolate. During the tasting, we'll discuss the history of chocolate and the current state of cacao production.
Next, we'll dive into a hands-on experience of hand rolling, dipping, and decorating truffles. Each participant will make a dozen truffles to take home along with the recipe and instructions for handcrafting truffles.
Aprons and gloves will be provided, but chocolate does have a way of getting everywhere, so dress casually.
Please refrain from wearing heavy fragrances, as it can affect the chocolate tasting.

Come join the group to get in the Christmas spirit. We'll start off with the Grinch Made Me Do It saloon crawl and after that if you'd like to stay, you can watch the Parade of Lights at 5 pm and Magical Christmas Fireworks Show after at 6 pm. Feel free to dress in holiday attire: a Christmas costume or Christmas sweater. Dress for the weather. We'll meet at the ATM outside the Bucket of Blood Saloon, check in for our tickets and then be off. I sometimes have problems getting onto the app in Virginia City, so I'll send my number out to participants in case you need to contact me, as calls always seem to go through. Grinch Made Me Do It Saloon Crawl
Bring your group of merry elves for a holly, jolly good time in a historic holiday wonderland with The Grinch Made Me Do It Saloon Crawl, part of Virginia City’s Christmas on the Comstock. The event takes participants through town to some of our historic saloons along with restaurants and shops – all decked out for the season – to sip on festive drinks and indulge in sweet treats. Watch for the Grinch roaming the streets spreading his mischievous Christmas cheer.TICKETS: Tickets are $30 plus fee. You get 12 drink samples and 3 sweet treat samples. Parade of Lights
The Parade of Lights is free and starts at 5:00 pm. See the spirit of Christmas travel through our historic town as Christmas cheer lights up the streets with our annual Parade of Lights. Everyone is welcome to participate! Bring the entire family and join in the fun. Sip some hot cocoa and enjoy sweet treats from our local shops as you take in the warmth of the Christmas spirit.Magical Christmas Fireworks Show
Nothing says holiday magic like fireworks during the holidays. And Virginia City's Magical Christmas Fireworks Show is just that - Christmas magic. It’s just that extra sparkle needed to make your family truly believe that the spirit of Christmas is alive.
