Enjoy the winter season at [The Fells](https://thefells.org/) on the shore of Lake Sunapee. The John Hay Estate at The Fells is one of New England's finest early 20th century summer estates.

Hike Leaders: Sharon & Jim Coer (203-671-5180).

Meet at the parking area directly off 103A in Newbury and hike lovely wooded trails, across a brook, along the shores of Lake Sunapee and past the historic main house. We’ll walk approximately 2 miles on trails, which are fairly flat, but snowshoes and/or microspikes are required at this time of year. It’s possible to walk farther to explore additional trails. If the weather is appropriate bring a chair and lunch to enjoy back at the parking area. It’s also possible to drive to Bubba’s for lunch.

Directions: From New London, follow Route 103A South for 5.6 miles. The Fells is located on the right.
