Meet My Music: Virtual Studio Hang
Details
We have so much talent in the HOME community and so many new people joining. This is your chance to get connected!
What have you been working on? Bring whatever you've got and share it in a laid-back and friendly setting. It's a casual, come-as-you-are space where everyone is welcome. Share your music, talk about your process, and discover new collaborators.
If you lean more to the industry side of things, share some music from the artists that you represent. We'd love to hear what you're working with!
And hey, while you're sharing your tunes, why not show off your creative space too? No pressure ;)
This event will be led by HOME's A&R Team, a specially skilled committee who select Homies to participate in collaborative writing sessions and make music that is valuable for sync licensing.
Please join this event HERE. Due to protective measures, we've moved these meetups into our HOME community app. Once you click through to join us, you'll be asked to create your FREE Account in the HOME App to join the hang! See you soon!
Here's a little bit about this week's host and HOME A&R Coordinator:
In a world dominated by cookie-cutter artists, Foundation Mecca stands out thanks to his raw, edgy, and unfiltered style of hip hop combined with his production acumen. With sync placements including features on Fox Sports and collaborations with a fitness company in Brazil, Foundation has proven his versatility as an artist. His work extends beyond traditional music platforms, with appearances in documentaries and on podcasts like Blkblood Voices. Foundation Mecca's influence also extends into the realm of project facilitation, where he has spearheaded initiatives for TPAC, JDC, and Metro Arts.
As a producer, Foundation Mecca released his LoFi project, Light Codes, further showcasing his creative range. He has also co-produced projects, including a collaboration with artist Rochelle Smith on a forthcoming release. Foundation Mecca's dedication to both production and artistry exemplifies his collaborative spirit and commitment to elevating the music industry as a whole.
Since his earliest memories, music has helped him deal with life's emotional rollercoaster, eventually becoming a tool to turn his deepest feelings into meaningful art. For Foundation Mecca, music is not just a language; it's an alchemical journey, transforming emotions into lyrical masterpieces and infusing his voice with an electrifying edginess that refuses to be contained.
Foundation Mecca doesn't seek to fit into neatly packaged boxes of mainstream rap. He defies conventions with every line spilling from his pen and every word channeled through his freestyle flows. He possesses the rare talent to paint pictures with words, creating vivid sonic landscapes that stay etched in minds like graffiti on city walls.
Foundation's journey as an artist boasts remarkable milestones, from sharing the stage with legendary Bone Thugs in Harmony to amassing over a million streams and forming the Nashville hip hop supergroup, Heru Heru. One of his proudest achievements is the underground hit "Sunday Funday" with Lord Goldie and ViB, a track that has become the weekend anthem for countless partygoers.
