** IT IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS**
Join us to hike one of the Catskill 3500 peaks, Kaaterskill high peak, with 8 miles and 1900' elevation gain.
it will be followed by a second hike to Kaaterskill falls, adding another 4.5 miles with 1000' EG.

Kaaterskill High Peak offers incredible views and some historical landmarks. The summit is at 3,655' high. The route begins by following a snowmobile path for about a mile before turning onto the Long Path. The Long Path steadily climbs up to the Kaaterskill High Peak Trail junction. Optional after the hike, we can drive to Scutt Road Trailhead to hike to Inspiration point then to Kaaterskill Falls.
This will be about 4 5 miles with 1000' EG.
It is one of the most popular and scenic hikes in the Catskills, known for its stunning two-tiered waterfall, which is one of the tallest in NYS. A breathtaking 260-foot waterfall, split into two tiers, with a serene plunge pool at the base—stunning views of the surrounding forests, especially during fall foliage.
