It's right under your feet, you probably ride it every day, but how much do you know about this city's amazing subway system.
Our private tour guide will give us the secret history and inside story of the creation of the original 1904 subway line and how it grew into the most extensive transportation system in the world.
All the art, all the history, all the technical breakthroughs, all the "whys" and all the shenanigans that went into this spectacular achievement. A unique experience for seasoned locals or new members to our fair city.
Get a look at the subway that few people, even lifelong New Yorkers, fail to recognize. This tour explores the areas of the system that are open to the public but in most cases overlooked. You'll end at Grand Central Shuttle Station.
We will enter the system at Brooklyn Bridge/Chambers Street Station. We will board a downtown local train so as to view the old City Hall Station from the train. We will be stopping at Astor Place and Grand Central station. We will switch to the Times Square- Grand Central Shuttle and then go over to Times Square. After that we will go back over to the Grand Central Shuttle Station. This is also the final stop on this tour.
NOTE: We do not go into the tunnels or any area that is not open to the public. This includes the long-closed City Hall Station, which we will view from the safety of a train.
All ages are welcome. Rain or shine event.

Our social walks are an extremely popular way to meet others. This event very casual and non-awkward + our host will help to make introductions.
During the walk, you will randomly be paired with others in the beginning then rotate at designated times so that you get to meet everyone participating. Afterwards, you're welcome to hang out and exchange contact info with others.

Enjoy a fun way to meet others while also getting some fresh air and some exercise while seeing the park. Little Island provides a one-of-a-kind relationship between nature and art—a break from urban life and a connection to spontaneity and joy. It's become NYC's newest and hottest attraction!
We'll make several stops along the park so that people can take pictures and admire the beautiful views. We'll circle the island a couple of times and then afterwards, we'll continue the walk along the Hudson River.

They are fun and simple! Don't worry, you don't need to know how to play anything in particular... The host will explain how each game is played. An example game we like to play is "Match The Group". In this game the host will show you a word followed by a blank. For example: Chicken _________. You'll write down a word that follows the word Chicken such as "Soup". Essentially you're trying to predict what will be a popular answer. We also play an icebreaker game called "Would You Rather" where we ask you fun questions like "Would you rather live the rest of your life without ever being able to watch and movie/TV show or would you rather never be able to listen to any song/music again?". You answer the question and then you have to try and pick the most popular answer. It's so much fun! Another fun game we play is similar to Family Feud (The popular prime time TV show). During this game, you'll be asked fun and easy questions like, "What do you do when you first wake up?". You and your group will try to come up with the most popular answer and then you'll find out if you got the top answer. WHO COMES ON TO THIS EVENT?
This event is open to all women. About 90% of the women who attend come on by themselves and don't know anyone else in attendance before coming on. The host starts the event with some fun icebreakers so you'll start to get to know everyone right away.
WHAT IS THE AGE RANGE FOR THE EVENT?
There is no specific age range for the event. Typically most of the crowd ranges between 20s, 30s & 40s.
HOW LONG IS THE EVENT?
The event is 1 hour and a half long.
IF I ATTENDED A PAST GAL PALS ONLINE SPEED FRIENDING EVENT, CAN I SIGN UP FOR THIS ONE?
Yes, In fact we always add in new games and never repeat the same questions so you can come on as often as you'd like... It's always fun to come meet new people!
